Panasonic Phone System Support for Existing Customers Across Australia
Panasonic has withdrawn from the business phone system market. The KX-TDE, KX-NS, KX-NSX and KX-NCP PBX ranges, along with the KX-NT, KX-DT, KX-HDV and KX-TGP handsets, are all discontinued and are no longer available as new purchases. CT Agency continues to maintain and support existing Panasonic systems for Australian businesses that have them in place, and provides a clear migration path to 3CX cloud telephony when the time is right.

Panasonic's Exit from the Business Communications Market
Panasonic’s decision to exit the business phone system market means that spare parts, software updates and manufacturer support for PBX systems are no longer available through official channels. For businesses still running Panasonic systems, this increases the long-term risk of a fault that cannot be repaired due to unavailable components.
CT Agency is transparent about this situation. The practical path for most existing Panasonic customers is to plan a migration to a cloud-hosted phone system before the existing hardware develops a fault that forces an emergency replacement.
What CT Agency Provides for Existing Panasonic Customers
For businesses still operating Panasonic phone systems, CT Agency provides:
- Fault diagnosis and repairs: assessment of system faults and repair where components are still available
- Configuration changes: extension additions or removals, call routing and voicemail adjustments on existing systems
- Call diversion and forwarding: redirecting calls when staff are away or during business hours changes
- Messages on hold: on-hold audio production and installation on existing Panasonic systems
- DECT cordless handset support: installed Panasonic DECT handsets in warehouse, hospitality and medical environments remain serviceable; CT Agency assists with replacements where stock is available
- Migration planning: assessing the current system, confirming number porting requirements and planning the transition to a cloud-hosted replacement
All support is delivered by Australian-based technicians. Fault reporting and support requests are handled through the maintenance and faults service.
A Note on DECT Cordless Handsets
Installed Panasonic DECT handsets — including the KX-TGP and KX-HDV ranges used in warehouses, hospitality and medical environments — remain in service across many Australian sites. CT Agency assists with fault resolution and replacement for existing DECT fleets where spare units are available. This support is for existing installations only; new Panasonic DECT systems are not recommended as a purchase at this time.
For businesses requiring new DECT coverage, the Yealink W-Series is recommended as the current alternative. See the Yealink handset page for detail.
Migrating From Panasonic to 3CX
3CX cloud telephony is the recommended path for businesses moving off a Panasonic system. It is hosted on AWS infrastructure, delivered with Yealink T7 and T8 series handsets pre-provisioned and configured before they arrive, and supported by Australian-based technicians.
The migration process:
- Audit: existing Panasonic system is assessed, extensions mapped and number porting requirements identified
- Number porting: existing business numbers are ported to the new system through Vocus
- Parallel running: 3CX is configured and tested alongside the Panasonic system before cutover
- Cutover: calls transition to 3CX; the old system remains available as a fallback during the handover period
- Training: staff are trained on the 3CX desktop client, mobile app and handset features
Full detail on the 3CX platform is on the 3CX page.
